Two Covid testing centres closed in Milton Keynes due to frozen pipes

Both centres are suffering from frozen pipes due to the icy weather and this means they have no running water for staff to safely wash their hands.
The CMK site is an RTC - regional testing centre - and has the capacity to carry out hundreds of tests a day.

Hide AdA source said there are also some concerns about safety on site due to ice, despite gritting regimes being in place on surrounding roads.
The newly opened walk through centre in Wolverton's Agora car park is operating as normal, as is Cranfield.
Milton Keynes people trying to book a test today are still being offered slots but they may have to travel to other towns such as Buckingham.
