RaceWars opened briefly earlier this year, but was forced to close when lockdown was announced.

Now, to ensure the safety of visitors, it has reopened with social distancing in place, as well as making sanitiser, gloves and masks available to visitors.

It has expanded its offering to cater for corporate entertainment, team building and party packages, and also has plans to open more centres across the UK over the next three years.

Paul said: “It was my wife who gave me the idea of opening my own slot car racing centre after spotting ‘The Racing Centre Hamburg’ while we were on holiday in Germany in 2015. After seeing what the centre was offering, we decided the concept would work brilliantly in the UK.

"We secured the space in 2019 and spent four months fitting out the unit and working with specialists to develop unique tracks that appeal to players of all abilities. The centre has been in planning for five years, and with the help of NatWest, RaceWars is finally up and running.”

"Avi Chakravorty, Relationship Manager at NatWest, said: “The RaceWars centre has been specially

designed by Paul and his team to offer people of all ages from eight years old, a chance to have a go at slot

racing. With the funding we have provided, Paul has been able to fulfil his ambition of opening the first

centre in the UK and the biggest in Europe, it’s been great fun working with the team to launch Race Wars.”
