Vinda-loo roll as Milton Keynes takeaway offers free toilet paper with every order

Maaya Indian Kitchen & Bar in The Hub at Central Milton Keynes hopes the initiative will help avoid a downturn in business due to coronavirus.

Many restaurants in MK are currently reporting empty tables because people are either in self-isolation or avoiding social gatherings and crowded places.

A Maaya spokesman said: "We want to continue to service our community and provide our award-winning curry to our customers through the current climate.

"If you’d prefer to have a takeaway, we’ll bring you your order to your car door with our ‘tandoor-to-car-door’ service. Each order over £20 will receive a free toilet roll. Orders over £80 will receive two rolls."

The spokesman said staff were team are deep cleaning the restaurant at the end of each day's trade and and wiping touch point surfaces throughout the day to ensure each area is germ free.

"Please continue to support local businesses," he said.
