To mark this "momentous occasion", M&S has launched 'Mini Colin Faces', a bag of chocolatey treats perfect for sharing.
In his 30-year history, Colin has built a seriously A-list fan base including David Beckham, whose Instagram posts of Colin have become famous, as well as Paddy McGuiness, Taylor Swift, Liam Gallagher and Georgia “Toff” Toffolo.

The caterpillar cake was introduced to the birthday circuit in 1990 and proved to be ground-breaking. M&S became the first retailer to sell the cake and Colin became an immediate bestseller – going down in chocolate cake history.
Dubbed the ‘King of Birthdays’, Colin has collected an army of loyal fans over the last 30 years, attending
more than 10 million birthday celebrations worldwide, say M&S.
M&S also sell a female version of the cake called Connie the Caterpillar. Personalised Connies and Colins are available in giant sizes to serve 40 people apiece and have been used by countless couples as wedding cakes .

An M &S spokesman said: "On Instagram, Colin the Caterpillar has almost 30,000 tags and in lockdown he’s become a TikTok sensation – with videos including some cheeky digs at Colin’s copy cat-erpillars!
He added: "Some may try to throw Colin off his throne but it’s clear that there’s only one caterpillar cake that rules the birthday scene."
