The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) group said it was looking to combat loneliness and carry out their Islamic duties at the start of this year.

Residents of Kents Hill Care Home and Milton Court Care home were visited in Milton Keynes by the AMYA.

MK AMYA youth leader Saeed Nazir said: "Young Ahmadi Muslims took time out of their day to try and make a difference to the lives of so many elderly who were by themselves or in care homes.

"This was a great opportunity for us to fulfil our Islamic duty of serving the needy and to follow in the examples of the Prophet Muhammad.”

The AMYA said it looks to aid in the development of young Muslims and that it has been particularly successful in insuring that its members are a source of peace for the society around them.

They are regularly seen in markets, stations and high streets preaching their Islamic motto of ‘love for all, hatred for none'.
