The 1970s returned to Beanhill last weekend as the estate marked its 40th anniversary.
A fun day, which had a seventies theme, was organised by Beanhill Action Group and included stalls, live music and traditional sports day races, such as the three-legged race, the egg and spoon and the wheelbarrow race.
Other attractions included a ‘glamorous grannie’ contest, a name-the-bear competition, donkey rides and an acrobatic demonstration from Paramount Parkour.
There was also a fundraising raffle with a new washing machine as the first prize.
Many of the prizes were donated by businesses from Xscape and MK1 and included a family meal at Casino MK and a Hobbycraft gift voucher.
