Neil Russell, chairman of PJ Care, was welcomed by excited learners who attend MK Snap’s purpose-built education centre in Milton Keynes.

The bus was previously used by PJ Care to enable their residents to enjoy day trips and the freedom to venture out, and now MK Snap are excited to do the same.

Angela Novell, chief executive officer of the charity, joined the learners in greeting Neil on his arrival.

“We are thrilled to have been handed the keys to a wheelchair adapted minibus today and incredibly grateful for the donation from PJ Care," she said.

“We are so proud to be able to make this donation," Neil said.

"Everyone is delighted to be able to help this fantastic organisation, it’s so lovely to see."

The MK Snap learners took no time boarding the minibus and discussing locations they are keen to visit.

"Our learners, people with physical and learning disabilities from across the area, will now be able to get ‘out and about’ in our community," said Angela.

"Being able to enjoy local health and wellbeing spaces and places of cultural interest, as well as being able to have access to visit employers and enjoy work opportunities, will make a massive difference to the lives of the people we support”.

MK Snap has a leading programme of education, work training and life skills opportunities and has been growing for 26 years. They work with over 120 individuals and support each to achieve their full potential. Angela closed by adding: “thank you so much PJ Care for your support on behalf of the MK Snap team and our very special learners; we really appreciate the partnership”.
