A town centre church will reveal plans to rebuild its home as a new community hub.
The United Reformed Church (URC), in Newport Pagnell High Street, has submitted ambitious plans to rebuild its church hall and re-brand it as The Mead Centre.
A spokesman said: “There is a need in our town for a centrally located, modern, multi-purpose, accessible and flexible community facility. It is our aim that the new centre would be available for families, youth organisations, charities, voluntary groups, and commercial businesses. We want the new building to be a hub of activity for the community, in the town centre.
“We cordially invite you to an open evening to show you the plans we have submitted as we launch our fundraising bid. We believe the centre will bring new opportunities to local businesses and organisations of Newport Pagnell and we welcome your support as we develop the Mead Centre into a unique venue for our town.”
The plans will go on display on Saturday, February 28, from 9am-1pm.
