The victim, an 82-year-old woman, was walking on the redway running alongside to Buckingham Road, behind Windmill Hill Drive, at about 1pm on Friday.

She was then pushed from behind, causing her to fall to the floor.

While the victim was on the floor she was sexually assaulted.

Following the offence the offender walked off in the direction of Bletchley.

The offender is a white man, of large build and in his early to mid-twenties. He was wearing a black beanie hat, black jacket and black trousers. He was carrying a black rucksack over both shoulders.

“We take all reports of this nature extremely seriously and I would like to reassure the local community that we are conducting a thorough investigation into this offence,” said investigating officer Samantha Arnold.

“I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual on the redway running alongside to Buckingham Road, behind Windmill Hill Drive, yesterday afternoon.

“I would particularly like to speak to a man who was walking a dog, believed to be a white dog, possibly a husky, along the redway prior to the offence.

“I would also like to speak to a man, about 60-years-old, seen picking blackcurrants near to the scene.

“If you know the dog walker or fruit picker, or have any other information about the offence please come forward by calling 101.

“If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.

“The victim is being supported by Thames Valley Police following this horrendous incident.”
