Between 3.15am and 3.30am today (April 10) the victim, a woman aged in her thirties, was walking in an underpass under Silbury Boulevard.

A man subsequently grabbed her from behind and raped her.

The offender is described as white, with ginger hair, and a ginger beard. He was wearing a dark-coloured bobble hat, a black coat, black jeans, with black wellies.

Investigating officer detective inspector James Mather said: “I would like to speak to who anyone who saw a man matching the description of the offender or who saw a distressed woman in the area.

“If anyone was in the area in the early hours of Tuesday we would ask them to please review any dash-cam footage, or if you live locally, have a look at any private CCTV you may have. If you have any information which could assist the investigation or saw anything suspicious please contact police.”

Superintendent Yvette Hitch, Milton Keynes Local Police Area Commander, said: “I appreciate incidents of this nature can be concerning. We have a team of detectives investigating and working to identify and locate the offender and have uniformed officers in the area carrying out reassurance patrols. If anyone has anything they would like to raise with us, please approach and speak to an officer in the area.”
