Police appeal following collision with child in Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a collision in Milton Keynes last Sunday (June 5).

At around 4.45pm, an 11-year-old girl was riding a bicycle in Cleaver’s Avenue, Conniburrow, close to the junction of Marlow Gate when she was involved in a collision with a car.

The driver of the car stopped to check the girl was ok before leaving the scene without providing his details.

The car is a blue or black car, similar to a Vauxhall Zafira.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

“The driver of the car stopped to check that the girl involved was ok, but didn’t leave his details. If you are the driver of the car, or you can help identify the driver, please contact me as soon as possible,” said Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens from Roads Policing.

“Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured, but it is very important that we speak to the driver of the car involved.”

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who can help police to identify the vehicle involved.
