Police appeal following fatal collision in Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for information after a fatal collision in Central Milton Keynes earlier today (Monday).

At approximately 11.15am, a pedestrian, a 30-year-old man from the Buckingham area, was in collision with a bus in Midsummer Boulevard, opposite the Point Complex.

Police attended together with air ambulance and land ambulance, but sadly the victim died at the scene.

“I would like to appeal for anybody who saw the collision between the pedestrian and the bus to come forward as they may have information which can help us as we piece together the tragic events from this morning,” said Sgt Simon Hills from Roads Policing based at Milton Keynes police station.

“We are in contact with the man’s family and supporting them through this difficult time. I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as we worked at the scene, but I would urge anyone who filmed the injured man as he was being treated to carefully consider what they do with the footage especially in relation to social media and sharing of files to avoid unnecessary upset to the family.”

If you have any information about the incident please contact investigating officer PC Richard Minney from Joint Operations Unit Roads Policing Unit via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101, quoting URN 493 9/5. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 101.
