Police appeal for witnesses after boy struck by car while crossing the road

A 15-year-old boy who was severely injured while crossing a busy road has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.

The boy was crossing the H2 Millers Way from a bus stop on Sunday evening when he was involved in a collision with a black Golf VW car.

An air ambulance attended the accident, which between Kiln Farm and Fullers Slade just after 8.30pm.

The teenager was struck by the vehicle and flown by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

He is still in hospital and his injuries are described as serious.

Investigating officer PC Christopher Ruvolo-Jones said: “I would like to speak with anyone with any information about the collision, who hasn’t already spoken to police, as it may prove crucial to this investigation.

“If you witnessed the collision, or have any information that may aid our investigation, please call us via 101, or visit your nearest police station, quoting reference number 1317 of 15/5/16.”
