Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing two men as part of its investigation into a fatal collision on the M1 last week.
Police are trying to trace two men, believed to be in their late forties or early fifties, who were on the overbridge off Tongwell Lane, in Newport Pagnell, at the time of the incident last Tuesday.
One of the men was wearing a high visibility jacket.
A pedestrian was involved in a collision with a lorry at 10.52am. The pedestrian, a woman aged 42, from Wootton, Northamptonshire, died at the scene.
An inquest will be opened today.
Sergeant Simon Hills, from the Roads Policing Department, said: “These two men would have been directly over the scene at the time of the collision so it likely that they may be able to provide valuable information to the investigation and I would urge them to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information who saw the collision with the pedestrian should contact Sgt Hills via the Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
