A wanted man, who is on a recall to prison, is desperately being sought by police in connection with an assault on a woman which saw her suffer a fractured cheekbone.

Darren Levy, 31, is wanted for assaulting two people in the Walnut Tree area and it is thought he used a dog chain in the attack.

He is considered to pose a danger to the public and it is thought he could be in the Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire or West Midlands area.

A man and woman were injured in the assault outside Tesco Express in Walnut Tree at about 1.20pm on September 7.

The offender followed the victims into Studley Knapp where he assaulted the man and then assaulted the woman using a metal dog chain.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Matt Darnell, of Force CID, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries in order to trace Darren Levy, who we believe does pose a danger to the public.

“He is wanted in connection with two serious assaults, one of which involved a makeshift weapon.

“I would advise the public not to approach Levy, but if anyone sees him or knows of his whereabouts, please call us as soon as possible.”

If you see Darren Levy call 999, or if you have information about his whereabouts, call Thames Valley Police’s 24-hour Enquiry Centre on 101.
