Police crack down on anti-social behaviour and drug offences in Milton Keynes

On November 8 four men were arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

A 19-year-old man from Bletchley was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B.

A 22-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to supply a controlled drug of class B.

A 23-year-old from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs of class A and B.

A 19-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class A.

They have all been released on police bail until February 6 next year.

On November 10 a warrant was executed which resulted in the arrest and charge of Benjamin Johannes, 41, of Granby Court, of one count of theft from a shop.

During the incident the offender stole a scalextric from Asda in Bletcham Way at about 5pm on November 9.

Johannes is due at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Friday November 25.

The arrest and charge of Johannes is not linked to the arrests made on November 8 on suspicion of drugs offences.

Sargent Mark Swallow, said: “It is vital that the police and residents work together to ensure that our communities are safe, so I would urge anyone with information about offences such as drug dealing or anti-social behaviour to contact police.

“The easiest way to contact us is by calling 101 or visiting your nearest police station.

“We will be increasing our patrols in the vicinity of Granby Court, so residents will see police officers and staff in the area, as well as police vehicles including CCTV vans.

“No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.

“We will also be holding a number of ‘Have Your Say’ meetings in the coming weeks.

“They take place on Friday (November 25) at 11am to 12pm, December 2 at 6pm to 7pm and December 13 at 1pm to 2pm at the community room at Granby Court. These meetings are a great opportunity to find out what the police are doing in your local area, ask any questions you might have or find out about crime prevention advice.
