Police discover large cannabis farm in quiet Milton Keynes village

This morning there was a heavy police presence reported around Old Groveway in Simpson and the footbridge over to Ashland.

Police were seen removing a large quantity of plants from a property.

This afternoon a force spokesman said: "Officers, acting on some intelligence, have located a cannabis farm at a property in Old Groveway..A large quantity of cannabis plants have been recovered and officers remain on the scene."

The spokesman added: "There have been no arrests and no persons were present at the address."

Enquiries are continuing.
