Police hunt masked teenagers after spree of burglaries

Teenage boys wearing white face masks are being hunted by police after a spree of burglaries across the city.

Homes in Monkston, Woughton-on-the-Green, Old Farm Park and Browns Wood have been targeted eight times between Sunday, September 13 and Thursday, September 17.

During the same period, there has also been thefts from cars in Browns Wood, Old Farm Park and Woughton-on-the-Green.

Police want to speak with anyone who can help track down a group of teenage boys who were seen on bicycles at around 4.25am on Tuesday, September 14.

Ray-Ban sunglasses and a Go-Pro video camera were stolen from a car parked on a driveway in The Green, Woughton-on-the-Green at that time.

The boys, who were seen leaving the property next to the canal bridge that runs over to Peartree Bridge, were all wearing dark clothing, with hoods up and white face masks.

Police say most of the offences have targeted unsecured properties and vehicles, and are urging the public to be extra vigilant and ensure they lock their homes and vehicles.
