Investigating officer, Det Con John Swallow, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the North 10th Street area on Saturday afternoon who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary, or who may have seen a man and woman going to and from the chicken shop. Any detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, could help with this investigation.

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and a thorough investigation is underway.”
