Police launch appeal after woman raped in Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a woman was raped in Milton Keynes.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was raped by a man in a residential property in North 10th Street at around 2.50pm on Saturday (August 13).

Prior to the offence in the property, the victim had been with the offender in a nearby chicken shop, XLN Chicken in Penryn Avenue.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the pair either in the takeaway or in the area around the time of the incident.

Officers would also like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary in the North 10th Street area such as a disturbance inside a property.

The offender is white, slim build, around 5 ft 11ins, with light brown hair and a beard and he was wearing grey clothes.

Investigating officer, Det Con John Swallow, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the North 10th Street area on Saturday afternoon who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary, or who may have seen a man and woman going to and from the chicken shop. Any detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, could help with this investigation.

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and a thorough investigation is underway.”
