Police want to speak to this man after a series of distraction thefts from cars in Milton Keynes.

A 34-year-old victim left her handbag in the passenger seat of her car on Wednesay, May 13, to return her trolley in Tesco car park, Winchester Circle. When she returned to her vehicle moments later at around 7.30pm, the bag was missing.

The stolen handbag is black, with Gucci leather, and contained a red snakeskin wallet, cash, a white Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with a smashed screen and a Nokia phone.

There have been five other thefts in Milton Keynes since in recent weeks:

May 6 – Sainsbury’s car park, Bletchley – The victim had withdrawn cash from the bank and placed it in her bag which was then put in the rear of her car. She then heard a car horn sound behind her and, while distracted, a man opened the car door and stole the bag.

May 9 – Waitrose car park, Oakgrove - The victim returned to her car with her shopping and was engaged in conversation with a man asking for directions. During the conversation, another man entered her car and stole a wallet.

May 14– Marlborough Gate - The bag was taken out of boot while the victim was helping her sister into the car.

May 16 – Car park, Secklow Gate – The victim’s handbag was stolen from next to her while she was sitting in her car.

May 19 – Tesco car park, Bletchley – The victim was in the car park and a man asked her directions. Another man entered her car and took her credit cards.
