The planning application, submitted to Milton Keynes Council'c planning committee, says the flats could be built on the corner of Watling Street, Bilton Road and Staple Hall Road, in Bletchley.

In a design and access statement, submitted by building developers Carlton Properties Limited, the plans say the 'duplex' flats will have 'ample' living space and consist of five three-beds, two two-beds and two one-bed properties.

A Carlton Properties spokesperson said: "The principle of housing is acceptable on this residential site. The site is a corner site at the transition between residential and commercial uses where a higher density development is appropriate."
