Post Office announces new '˜modernised, main' Post Office in Milton Keynes

The Post Office is to open a modernised '˜main' Post Office at Netherfield Post Office in early October.

In all there will be an extra 32 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service a week, including Sunday, plus Saturday afternoon. The branch will open significantly earlier and will close much later. These changes will make it more convenient for customers to visit.

The branch closes for refurbishment on Tuesday, September 22 at 5.30pm for the work to be carried out. Alternative branches include those in Central Milton Keynes and at Tinkers Bridge.

There will also be a full refurbishment of the store, including new flooring and ceiling.

A wider selection of on demand money will be available at Netherfield branch after the refurbishment.

“We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents,” said David Gold, Post Office Area Manager.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”
