VERY special poster art has gone on public display in Milton Keynes.
Created by designer Robert Rusin the stunning artwork celebrates the Olympic torch coming to the city in July 2012. The design, already reported and announced on many websites around the world, has received some fantastic feedback and a lot of support.
The first ever Milton Keynes Olympic poster will be displayed during a three-month-long exhibition, launching on January 23 at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, situated next to stadium:mk in Bletchley, MK.
This unique sport heritage exhibition is organised by Discover Milton Keynes with support from Art Council England, British Olympic Association and Sport Heritage Network. At the same time, the poster art has been accepted as part of MK heritage archive for the next 30 years. The day of the exhibition will also mark the 45th anniversary of Milton Keynes incorporation (1967).
The torch relay poster serves the idea of promoting Milton Keynes in 2012 and coincides with Milton Keynes bid for the official city status, expected before the Diamond Jubilee next June.
