Prince Charles has paid £35million to buy the Milton Keynes B&Q branch, it has been revealed.

The Prince of Wales is believed to have made the purchase last month.

He is expected to charge £2.2million a year for the DIY store in Rooksley shopping centre in CMK.

The shop, which stretches across 117,000sq ft of land, is set to earn Prince Charles more funding as part of his Duchy of Cornwall.

The Duchy was launched by Edward III in 1337, and owns a number of estates that fund the Prince of Wales including a Holiday Inn, Dartmoor Prison and the Oval cricket ground in Lambeth.
