Prince Edward's royal visit to Ousedale School
HRH Prince Edward was today greeted by hundreds of excitable pupils eager to tell the royal all about their Duke of Edinburgh award achievements.
He spent hours congratulating the Ousedale schoolchildren on their recent successes - and even talked about his own experiences.
Pupil Robert Hawkins told the Citizen: “It was a once in a lifteime experience to meet a prince.

“He asked us a lot of questions about what acitivies we enjoy the most.
“It was just awesome.”
200 pupils at the secondary school are currently working towards their bronze, silver or gold awards.
Ousedale was specially chosen by Buckingham Palace because of its success story with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
