For the forth year running, the event jointly presented by Milton Keynes City Orchestra (MKCO) and The Parks Trust, will take place on Friday, August 19.

This exciting, annual event attracts over 3000 people each year, with a first class, professional performance from the City’s own Orchestra, in the beautiful setting of Campbell Park’s Amphitheatre.

This year the Orchestra will perform under the baton of their Music Director and Principle Conductor, Damian Iorio, who is currently developing the programme to include all of the favourites, with a few twists to keep the performance lively and the flags flying.

Marian Livingstone, Chairman of MKCO, said: “We are delighted to work with David Foster and his team again. This is now an annual fixture, much loved by the people of Milton Keynes, our sponsors and our musicians. It’s marvellous to experience thousands of people enjoying our music in such a beautiful setting and for both charities to raise money and further their education and outreach work in the community.”

Milton Keynes Prom couldn’t take place without the generous support of local companies, both MKCO and The Parks Trust are extremely grateful to this year’s sponsors so far: Handelsbanken, PJ Care, Geoffrey Leaver, Crispin Rhodes, NatWest Bank, CS2 and Yamaha.

David Foster, Chief Executive at The Parks Trust, said: “The Proms in Campbell Park highlights everything a great British summer has to offer.

“It’s great to see how differently people make the most of the event, some with their elaborate hampers, people using it as an opportunity to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries to couples enjoying a romantic picnic in the evening sun.

“There really is something for everyone. This year it promises to be even better with a giant screen to show close-ups of the musicians and a fantastic firework display!”

Tickets for the concert cost just £15 for adults, £8 for children or £38 for a family ticket and can be purchased online at www.theparkstrust.com or www.mkco.org. Alternatively, paper tickets can be purchased in person from both The Parks Trust and MKCO’s offices.
