Pupils mean Big Biz with charity efforts

Pupils at Hazeley Academy took up the Big Biz Challenge to help raise money for the hospital’s Touch of Pink campaign.

They will come up with business ideas before pitching them on October 23.

Principal Mark Bennison is looking forward to seeing the students’ ideas. He said: “We expect it to be a fun, educational experience for the students and now they get to raise money for a great, local cause too. We’re proud to be part of the Big Biz Challenge.”

The Big Biz Challenge is based on the hospital’s £1 Challenge, which raised money for the Little Lives Appeal. The challenge has been adapted to coincide with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The hospital’s fundraising team welcomes the opportunity to work with schools in making fundraising initiatives a success – for both parties. Schools interested in fundraising for the hospital charity should contact Fundraising Manager Vanessa Holmes on 01908 826690 or email fundraising@mkhospital.nhs.uk.
