You can still take part in the British Heart Foundation Woburn Abbey Jog.
If you missed the pre-registration for this year’s British Heart Foundation (BHF) Jog in the beautiful Woburn Abbey grounds you can still take part by signing up on the day.
Just bring you, your family, friends a picnic and don’t forget your trainers this Sunday (12th June). If you take part you will have exclusive access to the Woburn Abbey grounds. Participants can walk, jog or run 1 or 2 laps around the 5k circuit which meanders through the scenic Deer Park
The mid morning start see’s participants set off at 11am, ideal for families and friends who can enjoy the beautiful grounds of this protected park and then enjoy a Sunday picnic.
The jog is now in its fifth year, and provides a rare opportunity to get free entry to one of Bedfordshire’s most treasured locations. Nearly 700 people took part last year and the BHF is hoping even more people will take part in 2011 as they celebrate their 50th anniversary year. So sign up now to guarantee your place and raise much needed sponsorship for the nation’s heart charity.
Rob Cox, British Heart Foundation Regional Events Organiser said: “We are hoping the beautiful sunny weather will encourage locals to dust off their trainers and sign up. With only a month to go we are very excited about the event as it is also the BHF’s 50th anniversary. Dunstable locals have been continually supportive of this event and we would like to thank everyone who took part in 2010. We would like to encourage new and past participants to sign up and take part again this year to help us celebrate our 50th.”
