Visitors to the open day can enjoy tea and cakes, a barbecue, a charity book sale, craft activities, and children are welcome too.

The Quakers date back to 1647 when George Fox, from Leicestershire believed that God’s light is within every person and travelled the country preaching.

He was often punished and imprisoned for preaching his radical vision, which included denouncing the need for priests as they prevented a direct experience of God. For more visit https://www.quaker.org.uk and contact the city group at [email protected]
