Quarantined guests are still testing negative for Coronavirus in Milton Keynes

Second swab tests on the 118 people quarantined for Coronavirus in Milton Keynes have all  come out as negative, NHS officials have announced today.

This means it is "unlikely" that any of them will develop the virus, they say.

The tests, which followed the first swabs taken on guests arrival from Wuhan, were undertaken on Saturday, the sixth day of their stay at the Kents Hill Park hotel and conference centre.

They will have one further test on Friday to confirm they remain negative for coronavirus before they are allowed home.

"Both guests and staff are continuing to take full infection prevention measures as a precaution. There continues to be no risk to staff at the facility or the wider public in

Milton Keynes," said an NHS spokesman.

NHS and Public Health England staff met with guests on Monday to discuss their results. The guests reiterated their thanks to the staff and all of those members of the

community, who have donated books, games and toys, for making their stay comfortable.

"We are talking to our guests about their departure from the hotel and will provide a further update in due course," said the spokesman..
