Racist attack turns violent outside Milton Keynes train station

A fight broke out between a woman and a group of Asian people after she had allegedly subjected them to a barrage of racist abuse.

Investigations are now ongoing to find any witnesses to the attack outside Milton Keynes Central rail station, which happened on Sunday, April 27.

Sgt Dan Weir, of British Transport Police, who had been called to reports of racist abuse shortly before 2.30pm on the day of the attack, said: “A short time later, a physical altercation took place outside of the station involving the woman and the group of Asians.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incidents and I am currently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents to come forward.

“We believe there may also have been an incident involving the same people on board a southbound Virgin Trains service, the 12.15pm Manchester Piccadilly - London Euston service which arrived at Milton Keynes Central at about 2.10pm.”
