All-singing, all-dancing youngsters are still on a post-show high after performing in a totally awesome musical last week.
The Radcliffe School presented two talented casts for their end-of-term production of Back to the 80s, with alternating players starring from Monday December 7 to Saturday December 12. Pupils from all year groups had a blast taking delighted audiences on a journey to a time when Michael Jackson and Rick Astley were the Kings of Pop and the Rubik’s Cube ruled.
As befits The Radcliffe School’s community spirit, everyone who auditioned was granted a part and even entrepreneurial Business students were able to get involved by selling 80s-themed refreshments during the interval.
The show brought to life the experiences of the graduating class of a fictional American high school. All the fun, romance, heartbreak and loneliness of growing up was set to a soundtrack featuring 80s hits including Kids in America, Footloose, Glory of Love, Let’s Hear It for the Boy, Man In The Mirror, Dancing On The Ceiling, Eye Of The Tiger and The Final Countdown.
