A smash and grab robbery at a jewellery shop in Woburn Sands High Street this afternoon is being investigated by police.
According to witnesses, three young men in hoods and masks are believed to have smashed the windows of Harrison’s Jewellers with a sledgehammer before grabbing items of jewellery. It’s believed a unique piece worth in the region of £6,000 was one of the items taken during the incident, which happened at around 3.15pm.
A witness said the men drove off in a car which had been double-parked and headed off in the direction of Woburn.
