TEA TOWELS are a household essential and students at Germander Park School cashed in on this with their latest fundraising event.

The enterprising youngsters put their creativity and sales pitch to the test by setting up shop at the Aldi store on Bradwell Common.

During the break from lessons at the Conniburrow school, pupils managed to raise £109 by selling tea towels.

Buyers received a bespoke design made by the pupils.

Germander Park School teacher, Sarah Ray, said: “This has raised much needed funds for playground equipment.”

She added: “The children are working towards raising enough money to purchase a trim trail activity centre.”
