Supermarket bosses have praised police for their quick response to a ram raid at a city store this week.
No-one was hurt during the attempted robbery of the Waitrose store in Oakgrove during the early hours of Monday morning.
Although there was significant damage caused to the supermarket doors, nothing was stolen from the store.
Police officers are now reviewing CCTV footage given to them by the supermarket giant in a bid to solve the mysterious crime.
A Waitrose spokesperson said: “Thankfully no one was injured and the police must be praised for their quick response.
“We are now supporting them with their investigation.
“Our partners worked hard to ensure we could open as normal and we are grateful to our customers for their understanding.”
