An escaped rapist who went on the run from a secure facility in MK has been found almost 200 miles away.
Malcolm Millman was detained under the Mental Health Act in Blackpool last night after being caught at around 8.30pm.
He will be returned to secure accommodation as soon as possible, say police.
Millman absconded during a day visit from Chadwick Lodge, in Eaglestone, on Saturday, October 24.
DCI Kevin Brown said: “I would like to thank officers and members of the public across the country for their help in locating Millman.
“In particular I want to thank the officers and public in Greater Manchester and Blackpool.
“This has been a complex search operation involving many agencies working together and I am pleased it has now successfully concluded and Millman is detained.”
Thames Valley Police did not release any further information about how Millman was captured.
