Record number of shoppers visit independent retailer market in Milton Keynes
The independent retailer market saw record numbers visit and support local business, making the market on Saturday, September 29, the most successful yet. With over 40 sellers taking part it was also the biggest to date and featured local traders selling upcycled, handmade and vintage items.
Kirsty McGiff, marketing manager at intu Milton Keynes, said: “We are delighted with how well the market went and it was great to see so many smiling faces. It’s important for us to support local and independent businesses and give them a platform to talk to and reach new customers. The market grows in popularity with each visit and it’s the Christmas one next.”

Hide AdThe next market at intu Milton Keynes will be the Etsy Made Local Christmas Market, on Saturday, December 1. All traders have official Etsy stores and the market is organised in collaboration with Etsy UK and the Etsy Milton Keynes group.
Over 70 traders have signed up to trade at the market which will feature everything from unique gift ideas for a loved one to gorgeous handmade Christmas decorations.
Kirsty added: “It really is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit and to find that impossible gift.”
