Red Bull search for apprentices

TEN lucky students could be in with a chance of working for Formula 1 world champions Red Bull Racing.

The Tilbrook team are offering 10 apprenticeships for trainee engineers who will be involved at the forefront of engineering at the Red Bull Technology headquarters in Tilbrook.

And in line with Red Bull Technology’s high-tech image, the recruitment process to find the next generation of Formula One engineers will be innovative – allowing young applicants to post YouTube videos of themselves and build up a fan base on Facebook and Twitter.

The announcement comes as part of National Apprenticeship Week, and comes in conjunction with MK College and TXM Recruitment.

Gavin Cross, head of engineering at MK College said: “We are delighted to be working with Red Bull Technology and TXM Recruit to train the next generation of Formula One engineers.

“Our facilities here are second to none and we look forward to welcoming the new recruits.”

Andrew Midgely, Business Development Director of TXM Recruit added: “Applications are already pouring in and we are getting comments from across the world.

“It’s a really fun and exciting way to apply for the job because it gives the young people a chance to show off their personality and for family and friends to comment on why they are right for the job.”
