Refugees due to settle in Milton Keynes this week
They are the first of 20 families due to be welcomed into the city over the next five years after the council agreed to take in “its fair share”.
Funding from central government will be used to support and house the refugees, a council spokesman said.

Hide AdThey added: “No, council housing will not be used, but this small group of refugee families will be helped with accommodation.
“The council will not disrupt the Housing Options system, although refugees are vulnerable and in need. The council will support them with government funding to find their feet after years of difficulties.”
