Loved ones left devastated by the plane crash that killed four members of their family say they are “struggling” to come to terms with their deaths.
In a statement released today, a family member said the Hewitt family from Shenley Church End were visiting Quebec in Canada, on a special holiday.
But disaster struck on the last day of the trip, when the seaplane they were travelling in crashed into a mountainside - killing Richard Hewitt, his wife Fiona and their teenage children Felicity and Harry.
The family member said: “Their families are devastated by the news of this tragic incident and are struggling to come to terms with the loss of the entire family.
“Please respect the family’s wishes for privacy in this deeply distressing time and we ask to be left to grieve in private.”
