Resident who dumped rubbish on Milton Keynes estate fined £250 by council

This pile of cardboard packaging and other rubbish ended up costing a resident £250 after he was reported for dumping it.

Council environmental health workers went out to investigate the rubbish, which had been dumped in the middle of Conniburrow estate.

They identified the culprit and swiftly issued a fixed penalty notice for £250,

If the resident does not pay, he could end up in court.

An MK Council spokesman said: "Unfortunately dumped rubbish, fly-tipping, dog fouling and graffiti are a problem in Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes Council has legal powers to address these issues but we do need your help."
