A survey carried out by the town council showed that over a week in February 2018; of the 3931 cars counted 812 (or 21%) exceeded the 30 mph limit.

The breakdown was as follows:

770 over 40 mph

38 over 50 mph

4 over 60 mph.

“Eaton Avenue in Central Bletchley has a problem of speeding cars. It is a residential road. I am supporting the residents to get some action to address this problem. The recent speed count showed over 800 cars exceeding the speed limit,” said councillor Khan.

“I want to see action from Milton Keynes Council to make the road safer. I think we need improved signage, including the flashing speed sign or if that does not work we may need to look at going for a 20mph limit or traffic calming measures,” he added.
