Restaurant celebrates final spot in ‘Curry Oscars’

Calcutta Brasserie was a finalist in the ‘Curry Oscars’ of the Indian restaurant industry this week.

Last year, the restaurant in Stony Stratford was Shortlisted but this year they have gone one step further and have been presented as a Finalist at the prestigious British Curry Awards.

As a finalist in the whole of the South East region of the UK; Calcutta is just one of three restaurants across the UK to receive this accolade.

The celebrity attended bash was held at the glamorous Battersea Evolution in London and hosted by TV presenter Lizzie Cundy and actor Nitin Ganatra, the event was attended by celebrities and some of the nation’s finest Indian restaurants.

Restaurant Manager Ali Ajmol said: “We are delighted to be a Finalist at this year’s Curry Awards, the team work incredibly hard and it is a real achievement to receive this award out of so many restaurants across the country.

“I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and to the staff for making Calcutta a unique dining experience.”
