Road sign clean-up launched in Milton Keynes
Council launches tidy up operation on city's dirty signs.
Dozens of the city’s dirtiest road signs are to be given a spring clean – at a cost of £80 apiece.
MK council is spending £8,000 on cleaning 100 grimy signs in a bid to improve road safety.
The worst signs will be identified over the next few weeks and the council’s service provider Serco will carry out the work.
The clean-up costs will come from Highways Adoptions cash.
