Robber pushes vulnerable woman to the ground to steal her handbag

The 56-year-old’s handbag, with her purse and cash inside, was taken as she walked between Arrow Place and Sheeling Grove, in the Lakes Estate, at around 1.30pm on June 24.

The victim, who has mobility issues, struggled to pull herself up off the floor as the offender fled the scene.

The handbag is a black shoulder bag, approximately 30cmx30cm in size, with four gold zips on the side.

Det Con Wendy Cissell said: “This robbery has caused a great deal of distress to the victim, who is a vulnerable person.
