Romance melts the ice at Frosts Garden Centre in Milton Keynes

Last Saturday, Karl Thompson, with the help of the team at Frosts, created a beautiful scene straight from a romantic film as he proposed to his girlfriend Lisa Bysouth.

Weeks before, Karl met with the Frosts team to let them in on his plan and, of course, Frosts could not be happier to help with his surprise proposal on Frosts’ ice skating rink - the place of their first date five years ago.

Karl delivered his proposal on message cards, which ended with him going on one knee to ask Lisa to marry him.

Lisa said ‘yes’.

Karl said: “Each year we come to Frosts to skate on the ice rink as it has special memories for Lisa and I, and I couldn’t think of a better place to propose. The team at Frosts have been incredible and have gone above and beyond to help make this lifetime memory an incredibly special one.”

The couple celebrated with family and a few bubbles after and continued their private skate before heading off for a celebratory meal.

The couple are looking to marry in 2019.
