Rooftop rescue for one lucky cat in Milton Keynes

The RSPCA called on Broughton-based firefighters to help rescue a cat stuck on a roof in Monkston on Monday afternoon.

It is believed the unfortunate moggie could have been there during the weekend’s torrential downpours, but with a little coaxing and the aid of a 10.5 metre ladder, the lucky feline is now back at home.

“I’m really pleased Maisy is now safe and happy back with her owners,” said RSPCA inspector Sue Haywood.

“She had gone missing on Saturday, and therefore we believe she may have spent a few nights on the roof in severe storms.

“Thanks to a concerned neighbour and Buckinghamshire fire and rescue we were all able to get her down safely,” sh added.
