Heart Four Counties Breakfast favourites Stuart Miles and Katy Hills began the celebrations by stepping up to the big red button to illuminate the thousands of lights in Queens Court and the centre’s impressive Christmas tree.

Following the main event, Santa Claus made his spectacular rooftop arrival to mark the start of the traditional parade up to his grotto in Middleton Hall; along the way lighting hundreds of thousands of tree lights. The almost 20,000 sq ft, 25 minute fully interactive grotto experience features a double height carousel, traditional nativity scene and speciality craft cabins; providing the perfect backdrop to the extraordinary home of Santa.

Festive activities include arts and crafts group workshops, where children can enjoy making Christmas wreaths and decorating wooden angels, and following a visit from Santa and his elves, every child will receive a gift.
