Father Christmas arrived in spectacular style at Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn Sands on Saturday with his procession of giant snow fairies and elves.
The annual parade attracted its biggest ever crowd as thousands of families from across Milton Keynes joined the Garden Centre to mark the beginning of Christmas at Frosts.
Crowds gathered early for the newly programmed arrival of 4pm, and were treated to music, entertainment and games before the countdown to the Jolly Big Fellow’s arrival. Snow filled the air as Santa took to the stage and addressed the good boys and girls, sending them a wonderful Christmas message of happiness and joy.
Father Christmas then made his way to the grotto where he is until Christmas Eve.
As the darkness fell, a stunning laser show wowed everyone as the lights ‘danced’ to Christmas songs, which the crowd joined in singing to.
James Frost, managing director at Frosts Garden Centres, said: “The feedback from everyone has been wonderful. Every year we aim to make our Christmas celebrations bigger and better, we have done everything possible to make this a magical family experience unlike anything else in Milton Keynes.
“We are particularly proud of our grotto this year as the experience is more magical and special than ever – tickets are still available.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming many families in the run up to Christmas and don’t forget, our real ice rink will soon be open!”
Ticket prices for the grotto are as follows, please note all children must be accompanied by an adult: Children - £9.99, adults ticket - £4.49, photo - £5.99.
A traditional Christmas wouldn’t be complete without ice skating at Frosts’ real ice rink, which opens on Saturday 29 November, seven days a week, until Sunday 4 January 2015. Standard sessions last 45 minutes, there are also special nights lined up, such as the Disco on Ice, the Festive Family Fun Night and the New Year’s Skate Day.
