The Webber Independent School celebrated World Book Day with a visit from Milton Keynes’ very own author Rob Badcock.

The children were treated to a reading from Rob’s first novel entitled Big Frog – a fictional story based on futuristic adventures in and around Milton Keynes, before a short Q&A session and book signing.

Principal Sue Vig, said: “World Book Day is a favourite of ours. The main aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading, they were absolutely enthralled by Big Frog, a big thank you to Rob for taking the time to come and share his wonderful book with us.”

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and most importantly it’s a celebration of reading. This is the 15th year there has been a World Book Day, and on 1st March children of all ages come together to appreciate reading.
